Alarm Control Surveillence Technician

Job Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge and experience to install, service, troubleshoot, and program security systems

  • Test and verify cameras

  • Test and troubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues

  • Rotation of afterhours/on call duty

  • Installation and wiring of commercial/enterprise-wide access control systems


  • Terminating and/or installing end devices such as cards, badge readers, motion? detectors, glass breakers, mag locks, intercom systems, etc. determines position and salary

  • Dressing and terminating security panels in an IDF room

  • Repair and reconfigure access control system equipment

  • Programming alarm systems

  • Programming access control

  • Knowledge of Avigilon, Bosch, ICT, S2 systems preferred. Certifications? in? these can determine position and salary as well as background in electronics

  • Knowledge of test equipment such as multimeters, digital analyzers, batter analyzers, frequency meter, decibel meter and communicating devices determines position and salary

  • High School graduate or GED required but technical or college degree in related experience preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical codes

  • Excellent customer service skill

  • Experience installing intercom systems and/or low voltage cables and/or camera systems in a commercial environment determines position and salary

  • 2-10 years? experience in any of the above skills determines position and salary

  • Familiarity with NEC? Standards and electrical codes determines position? and salary

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
