Dispensing Optician

The Optician will provide quality customer service in then sale and dispensing of eyeglasses, sunglasses and other optical dispensing. Review the patient's optical prescription to assist them in selection of the proper frames and lenses. Complete all required paperwork, accurately measure and order customer glasses and contact lenses. Adjust eyewear when necessary, and make minor repairs to frames. Educating the client about the proper handling and cleaning of glasses and contact lenses is an essential job skill. Calculate purchase prices, collect payments for merchandise; and complete all insurance forms accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing optical dislpay by organizing the stock of eyeglasses, sunglasses, and accessories. Assistance to the office manager as needed for various clerical tasks.
High school graduate or equivalent
Experience in retail optical department and/or customer service work experience
Computer and math skills necessary
Good communication skills required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
